The car plugs into a DC fast charger but won't start charging, or stops right after it starts. This is different from a slow Level 2 session. DC fast charging pushes much higher power, and more systems have to line up correctly for the car to accept it.

What causes it
- A handshake failure between the car and the DC fast charger

We can't repair a DC fast charging station, so first we help you rule one out by trying a different stall or a nearby station if possible. If the car won't accept fast charging anywhere, we deliver our own Level 2 charge to get you moving and test whether the fault sits with the 12V system or the contactors.
Both systems play a role here. The contactors that let the pack accept a fast charge are controlled by 12V power, so a weak 12V can block fast charging even with a perfectly healthy pack.

Fast charging demands far more from the contactors and cooling system than a slow Level 2 session does. A car can pass a low-power charge and still fail the handshake a fast charger requires. We test both to find where the fault actually is.
