Most stuck ports trace back to low 12V power, since the release solenoid needs voltage to fire. We test and restore 12V power first, which frees the latch in most cases. If the latch is mechanically jammed, we work it loose by hand where it's safe to do so.

This is almost always a 12V symptom hiding as a charging problem. The release mechanism draws power from the same low-voltage system a dead 12V battery knocks out.

Ramona, Julian, and the mountain communities are genuinely remote, often an hour or more from the nearest fast charger. Grades are steep, temperature swings are wider, and range anxiety out here is earned, not imagined. When a car strands in the backcountry, the wait for help is real, so we prioritize these calls.
