Why a Mach-E strands
The Mach-E is known for a 12V battery that drains quietly, and once it's fully dead the car can refuse to wake its high-voltage system at all, leaving it locked out from charging until the 12V gets a jump.
The charge port sits on the driver's side front fender near the headlight, released by a button or the app, both of which need the 12V system alive to work, so a dead 12V can make the port itself unreachable.
